Record Employment Growth
Port Washington, WI – July 30, 2014 – KMC announced today that its trend of year-over-year record growth continues. The result: continued growth in overall employment and the addition of new equipment and process capabilities.
“At KMC, we will continue our efforts to expand our capabilities and also increase our overall capacity,” said Gerry Schwarz, KMC President. “It is critical that we continually position ourselves to provide sustainable growth and technological advancement for our customer base.”
After seeing employment rise 24% from 2010 to 2012, KMC has continued to grow its team with overall employment increasing 50% since 2012. KMC now employs over 300 employees. KMC will continue to hire full-time manufacturing and management roles, and currently has over 20 open positions to fill.
In addition to the job creation, KMC has added many new capabilities over the same time period. During the last twelve months, KMC has added a 330-ton straight side servo press; a new extrusion machine; a laser etching system; and a Bancroft Welda-Round system.
Since 1908, KMC has provided products of exceptional quality while delivering outstanding service to diverse industrial and commercial OEM customers. KMC has four production facilities with the Park Street facility (located in Port Washington, WI) serving as our headquarters and largest manufacturing location. The Mineral Springs facility (also in Port Washington, WI) was opened in 2013 and helped us respond to the added growth of our business. The company also has a manufacturing facility located in Milwaukee, WI and a tool engineering facility located in Fredonia, WI. KMC is also proudly ISO/TS 16949:2009 and ISO 9001:2008 certified.
