Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a quality and efficiency focused individual who will primarily be responsible for processes and equipment related utilized in fabricated sheet metal manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Press department effectiveness and efficiency
  • Effectively manage improvement projects from inception through successful conclusion
  • Identify and solve barriers to productivity
  • Initiate and lead continuous improvement in all aspects of manufacturing systems and operations
  • Contribute to work place safety through work station ergonomic design
  • Assist in evaluating and promoting operator ideas through excellent data driven analysis
  • Create new product process development documentation including visual work instructions and training
  • Lead and actively participate in cross functional teams
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers from other areas to ensure a well integrated manufacturing operation
  • Other duties as assigned

Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and five (5) years of fabricated sheet metal industry experience or 10 years of manufacturing engineering experience within the fabricated sheet metal industry
  • Working knowledge of APQP and PPAP process
  • Able to conduct training and make presentations
  • Proficient in MS Office, 2D CAD, ERP systems
  • Standardized problem analysis and problem resolution techniques
  • Experience in efficient punch press operations a plus
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
